Be Crystal Clear With Promotional Glass Water Bottles

Whether is it summer or winter, staying hydrated is important and a great way for you to do this and promote your brand at the same time is with promotional glass water bottles. In the push to be more eco-friendly, glass bottles have made a comeback and you can now pick some very fashionable styles due to different coloured sleeves made from neoprene and silicone. Below we have listed some of the features to look out for and also some uses for these trendy water bottles

1) Material: To look for a good quality glass bottle, check to see if it is made from Borosilicate glass material. The reason for this is borosilicate is a mixture of silica and boron oxide. This may not sound like anything important, but what it means it the glass is more resistant to thermal shock compared with ordinary glass. It isn’t unbreakable, but it makes it a great deal sturdier than standard glass. It can also withstand temperature changes of about 165 degrees Celsius, which means you can add both cold and hot drinks. It can withstand temperatures between 572 degrees down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit. This means you never have to worry about it cracking or exploding due to heat or cold. The only issue with this type of glass is it is not fully recyclable. Recycled glass can introduce contaminants and this could cause flaws in the glass, so although these bottles are reusable, nobody can make claim to them being recyclable for now.

2) Sleeves: Glass can be slippery to hold, especially if the outside is wet, so many glass bottles have a grip on the outside. It is not a compulsory component, but it does make them safer to hold and use. The two most popular grips at present are either silicone or neoprene. Most silicone styles have a “window” that you can view through to see the contents. This is useful in that you can always see how much liquid you have left. They are usually available in nice bright, vibrant colours and add a higher perceived value to the glass bottles, compared to them being plain. Silicone is a tricky product to print, so usually, the silicone areas are not brandable, which does reduce the branding space. The other option is neoprene. For these, they usually cover the entire bottom section of the bottle and it is the neoprene that is printed, rather than the glass bottle. Most will have a handle section so you can grab by the handle instead of the bottle, which makes it easier to carry.

3) Lids: Lastly, we have the lid. Most come in two styles. Firstly, there is a screw-top lid that can be made of several different materials such as metal or bamboo. The second is some type of flip-top lid. This is perfect for people on the go who are trying to drink while still moving, as they can put their lips over the flip-top section and not lose any liquid.

The other great part about glass drink bottles is they are all BPA free. If you would like to use them in your next promotion but are unsure what would suit you best, we’d be happy to help. Just send us an email or give us a call and we’d be happy to guide you through the different options.
